Soft polyester fill pads the bumper for comfort. Liner wraps around the outside edge of the basket and hugs the sides and handles. Liner is removable and can be machine washed (cold water, gentle cycle) and tumbled dry (low or no heat). Includes a foam mattress pad and a sheet. Basket hood shades your baby, or it can be removed completely. Hood attaches with hook-and-loop tape. Basket can be used until baby is approximately 15 lbs. (6.8 kg) or until baby can push up or roll over unassisted. Basket should always be placed on a firm, flat surface. Never place it near the fireplace or open flames. Sturdy handles are woven onto the basket. The handle is actually “one piece” that goes down both sides and under the bottom. Although this basket includes handles, we do not recommend carrying the basket with your baby in it for safety reasons. “This piece of furniture (as well as the matching crib which we also purchased) is well worth the money. The style is very classy and the color is beautiful! I have read other comments about the color not being as dark as the pictures illustrate, but I disagree. It is all I expected. The only negative thing I could find to comment on is that the wood does seem fairly soft.

“I selected this nursery set over several higher priced sets because I loved the lines of the crib and changer [I settled for the dresser because I wanted the matched set]. I agree with the other reviewer that the top of the changer is not all that I could hope for, it is very thin, and I too had concerns about it being potentially flimsy. Our baby has not arrived yet, so I tested it with weights. I was able to test the top up to 25 pounds without any wobble at all [I didn't have any weights higher than that]. While it seems as though the top might be flimsy, I have found that it is definitely sturdy to 25 pounds, and very likely higher than that, as there were no signs of stress after the weights.”

“This such a good looking changer. Arrived without a single blemish. I put it together 8 months pregnant- in about an hour. The instructions don’t tell you to use the washers- that was the only confusing thing about it. It was a bit wobbly when I first put it together, but it has settled & doesn’t wobble anymore. The top is just particle board, not solid wood, which surprised me, but it seems sturdy enough for a baby. The pad is kind of thin, so we may buy a different one, not sure yet. With that said, it is a great looking piece, well put together, with plenty of useable storage space for our cloth diapers & supplies.”
